iFocus heads to Japan with Victorian ICT Trade Mission

7 April 2006

The aim of the Victorian Government’s Trade Mission is to strengthen and facilitate the development of business relationships between Victoria and Japan. It will do this by supporting Victorian company engagement with the Japanese market, and promote Victoria’s strengths in ICT.

Victoria’s homegrown ICT companies have developed a global reputation for quality, cost-effectiveness and commitment. This reputation has been built over many years and is based on the track record of local companies that have collaborated on significant global contracts.

The Victorian ICT industry is an important contributor to the economic performance and wealth of the State and is embedded in a strong innovation culture with world class research institutions and leading universities.

The Trade Mission kicks-off on Monday 10 April 2006 and concludes on Friday 14 April 2006.

iFocus objectives in Japan

iFocus will aim to identify potential business partnerships and develop new relationships in Japan. The visit will include meetings in Hiroshima and Tokyo. We will be conducting industry research and extending relationships with our existing clients, such as Mazda Australia who have their head offices in Japan.

“The 2006 Victorian ICT trade mission to Japan trip is an important step in our business growth and internationalisation plans. Our services will be highly sought after in Asia and it will be through research, government assistance and strong relationships where we will identify the most appropriate entry point,” says iFocus Managing Director, Greg Muller.
